Chill place to unwind. The food was delicious. The view, okay.
The view never gets old here. No fussy bouncers downstairs either, they are just trying to keep the place from becoming too overcrowded. Mostly tourists and people who are not from manhattan bringing their visiting relatives. Expensive, but worth it because of the view. Then music is mostly top 40.
Great service. The views are very good
If I could choose “0” stars I would. As a guest who frequents staying at Hotel Gansevoort, I’m appalled at the level of service this rooftop offers. It’s definitely a complete 180 degree difference from the service I receive at the lobby and with room service. I went to the pool and ordered a few drinks for me and my gals..3 margaritas. The drinks took over 30 minutes to come out to us. The server(curly haired girl) knocked over one of the martini glasses and it spilled into my bag. I’m not sure if she even noticed or just didn’t care because she never said “sorry”. She seemed in a rush which made no sense at all given the amount of time we waited for our drinks. Thank goodness I didn’t have any electronic devices/important documents in my bag or I would’ve lost it. Another 30 min go by and our server was nowhere to be found. I then asked the life guard to speak to a manager and then our server finally shows up. Unbelievable! I will never stay here again!
The rooftop space is amazing. It is heated so can be used all year round.
Easy to get in on Saturday, mostly hip hop, not packed, drinks not great.
A great spot for partying with friends and dance the night away. Great view of the city.
Great view, that's about all thats great here. $34 for two mediocre cocktails, surly service and a crowd.
Great place for office parties
Great place to enjoy some cocktails!
I like the vibe of this place. The cocktails, music and crowd is good. A good place overall!
After going to The Standard (not the rooftop, but the regular lounge with jazz), I was disappointed by Plunge. I suspect it's nicer at night when it's not as obvious that the glassware is plastic (fine, it's a rootop bar, but they're scratched), the white leather couches are scuffed and it's just overpriced compared to The Standard.Sadly, it was a gorgeous day out in late April, but they didn't let us outside. :(
Great views from the rooftop! Bartender was helpful and patient. The wine pops were excellent! Such a great idea to have wine in popsicle form!
Went for appetizers and cocktails which were both great but the vibe is what really sold me! The interior is very bright and colorful and has an amazing outdoor area and view!
I found this hidden gem on the internet when visiting the high line. The bartender Cole makes a great drink and was very accommodating showing us various views from the roof top. Definitely worth visiting either in the daytime or night..
They have a nice view over the Hudson River, and a decent drinks selection.Feels more like a place for drinks after work, than a place for a tourist or for a special occasion.
Food was fab and drinks very nice. This space is gorgeous and has great views. But it's very loud after about 3-3.30. I think the best time is just after lunch, when there are fewer people and they don't put on the blaring musing on just yet. I also like the decor and the zoning / variability of seating options.
We recently went here for my best friends after wedding party. I was mortified at the admitting practice at the front entrance. When we arrived and said we were there for my girls party up on the rooftop. The guy at the front door refused us entrance, stating he didn't know about no party. We had to go so far as have my friend come down to the front entrance and he still didn't want to let us in. It was very embarrassing being he was allowing others entrance to the roof top. So we finally were allowed in but after a major issue about it. My advice is if you are a inter-racial couple don't go to the rooftop lounge! !
A wannabe place. At first sight, very fancy. At second sight: place with many tourists and people who pretend to be something they are not. Drinks were good though and the view is amazing
Gotta pay doorman tips to get on the rooftop... DJ is awesome... Drinks r expensive.. but it's upscale and the view is good.
Great venue, come by and throw caution to the wind.
Great place to hang out for open air rooftops. Has a shady side in the afternoon which is great. The inside lounge is under restoration so that yields the 4 stars instead of 5.
Beautiful city view, neat space, good music. Cocktails are nothing special. Great for events. Go later for a more mysterious rooftop club vibe.
Need patrons to be fun. Easy to access, but not the rooftop you’re looking for if you’re not a hotel guest. It’s chill and accessible and there is a bar and staff to host the guests, and the quality is good, but there isn’t energy.
Nice place to have a rooftop view of downtown
Is not a nice play to go, there are strange people doing strange things
Fun place - they have some great parties in here - u should stop by for sure
It was ok. Food was average, not worth the prices. Views were nice
Amazing views, drinks pretty good (I asked for White Russian they had no milk or cream) No one has any style, everyone had t-shirts and jeans, or the boring black dress to show skin. I wore a white leather jacket, snakeskin jeans, silver pearls, high boots, great club purse - I was only one who put actual thought into my outfit UGH. No one danced, though I recall it bring a good dance spot in past.Oh well - a place to get a drink, see the view, move on. Blah
My wife and I were in NYC for 3 days and we were looking for a place to dance and have a couple drinks. Albeit this was a Monday night around 11:30 and the place was on point. Music, drinks and ambiance were just what we were looking for and we had a great time!! Did not have any food but the bartender was attentive and gracious and the areas around the impromptu dance area had great seating.
Great place with amazing views, had a great time there.
Lots of old people. Music might as well be a Spotify playlist. Tables very confusing if you can sit or not. Outdoor in winter is way too cold. Usage of doorman when it’s empty is weird. The bar at Tao is 10x better. Wouldn’t ever go back.
Delicious cocktails. Wonderful bartenders. The food is ok.
Nice rooftop bar with plenty of space to spread out. Lots of cozy spots to hide in and nice views. Not too busy on a Wednesday if you want to check it out without lines.
THE DOORMAN ALI IS AMAZING! ALWAYS WELL DRESSED WELL MANNERED AND VERY WELCOMING.
Every year at Christmas my girlfriends and I pick a different spot to celebrate the holidays. This year we picked The Little Easy. According to the website it stated that they open at 10a. However that was incorrect they actually open at 11a. This is when I began having my doubts about the place but oh well we will just make the best of it was my thought. WELL let me tell you that this turned out to be the MOST fun that we had in an entire year!! Our bartender/waiter, ALBERT was AWESOME and WONDERFUL and ATTENTIVE as well as ENGAGING! He made our day! He saved what we thought was going to be a-let day into a turn up! He was such a genuine and caring employee that not only took the time to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves but that each and every person in the room were having a blast. Thank you Albert for EVERYTHING! You made our experience memorable.
Drinks are terrible (served in gross plastic cups) by an inexperienced and rude bartender. The selection of beer and spirits is usually limited. Food is O.K. and food runners are nice but the only really good thing about this rooftop is the view. Stick to beer or neat spirits and enjoy the view.
Cool rooftop, nice crow (not too young) and really nice view
The bar is nice, the view amazing. There are just small dishes, no diner served. Drinks were okay but it's worth a visit. The view is sensational.
Went there last night. Bouncers were extremely kind and friendly. Chill, relaxed vibe from the crowd. Place is unique with great views of the Hudson. Only downside: limited beer menu. Will def go again!
Much older crowd. Music from playlist gets boring. Food has freezer taste and staff never checks on guests.
Pretty views, and decor, but music is too loud to talk, drinks and food are very expensive but very basic (what you would get at a cheep dive bar).
The worst service I've experienced in a long time. I don't even know if I have ever left a negative review before.I enjoyed my stay at the hotel but my experience at the Plunge Rooftop Bar was pretty bad. I made sure it was okay if I sat myself at a small table and then waited for the waitress to come back. Waited 15 minutes, maybe more, before I saw them again and even then they almost walked right past. They asked what I wanted, asked for a menu, and then waited another 10 minutes for a menu. Waited another 15 minutes to order but never saw them again. They didn't even come over to the section again and there were about another 6+ people seating near my table. I ended up leaving because I can only imagine how long it would have taken to place an order, actually get the food and drinks, and then to get a check. The place was not busy by any means and there were multiple waitresses standing around. The place has a great view and it's nicely done, just needs better staff.
Beautiful spot. Drinks were expensive, but that's expected for a penthouse bar.
Ultimate view of New Jersey at sunset, plus good drinks by the pool make for a pleasant evening. Servers seemed to be learning on the job the 2 times I visited.
Lovely place to meet people! We had a blast here and the drinks were well made. I wasn't disappointed by my first rooftop bar! And the view is amazing!
Great view, excellent cocktails and nice service, I also really liked the atmosphere.
I give Plunge Lounge 3 stars,, I only had the pleasure of coming here just once. But overall the experience was very pleasant and I had a great time. The seating area was nice, and the rooftop was great view. We did enjoy the drinks at this lounge, the bar tender was very generous and let us try a drink he recommended and was a great choice. The drinks are not pricey at all. I will be returning back to this lounge soon I had a great time.
Sunday afternoon, great choice of venue. Good views, good drinks and a happy vibe. Definitely recommend it.
